Fees, Payments and Financing

Cosmetic surgery fees are largely based on the estimated length and complexity of surgery. Fees for a specific procedure may vary between patients due to differing degrees of complexity. For these reasons, we are unable to quote surgical fees until the time of examination and consultation. Reconstructive surgery is generally covered by medical insurance, although coverage for specific procedures and the levels of coverage may vary greatly. There are a number of "gray areas" in insurance coverage for plastic surgery that sometimes require special consideration by an insurance carrier. Prior authorization is obtained when possible. Although we do not offer patient financing directly through this office, we can direct you to an ASPS -endorsed financing program. You may apply directly for these loans and, based upon approval, funds will be sent directly to you. This does not affect our payment policies. Regardless of any loan agreement you may make regarding your cosmetic surgery procedure, our office requires payment in full no less than 10 days prior to your scheduled surgery date. We accept cash, checks and most major credit cards.

Dr. Shell is a member of numerous insurance plans. Refer to your insurance provider directory to confirm his current participation. If your insurance plan requires a referral, you must obtain this from your primary care physician and provide it to use with your insurance card at your first visit.

We look forward to meeting you and will do everything possible to make your experience pleasant and informative at our Oxford, Mississippi office.
