Dr. Shell is certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, The American Board of Surgery, a member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Shell provides a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures to patients. The most common cosmetic procedures include; but are not limited to, breast surgery (reduction, reconstruction, augmentation and lift), body contouring (tummy tuck and liposuction), facial rejuvenation (surgical and nonsurgical), wound management and skin cancer treatment. Nonsurgical facial procedures such as Botox, Dysport and dermal fillers have become increasingly popular as patients seek less expensive alternatives with minimal downtime. Dr. Shell is currently on active staff at Baptist North Mississippi and has courtesy staff privileges at the Baptist Memorial Hospital entities in Collierville, DeSoto, Germantown, Memphis and Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women in Memphis; and practice privileges at Memphis Surgery Center.

Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation, technically known as augmentation mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breasts. Breast implants are medical devices with a solid silicone, rubber shell. The implant shell may be filled with either saline solution or elastic silicone gel. Both saline and silicone gel breast implants are approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Approval means that an implant has been rigorously researched and tested, and reviewed by an independent panel of physicians for safety.

Breast Lift

Breastlift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts--at least, for a time. (No surgery can permanently delay the effects of gravity.) Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction, technically known as reduction mammaplasty, is designed for women with very large, pendulous breasts who may experience a variety of medical problems caused by the excessive weight, from back and neck pain and skin irritation, to skeletal deformities and breathing problems.

Breast Reduction for Men

For men who feel self-conscious about excess breast tissue, breast-reduction surgery can help. The procedure removes fat and or glandular tissue from the chest area, and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a chest that is flatter, firmer, and better contoured.

Breast Implant Revision

Breast implant removal or revision is a surgical procedure that removes or replaces breast implants placed during breast augmentation. The procedure may be indicated for medical reasons or it may be the patient’s personal choice. There are many possible reasons a woman may choose to undergo revision breast augmentation or breast implant removal.
